  1. TWASP TRIVIA

How many people believe that only 3 players in the league had more hits than Melky this year?

  2. It’s playoff time…… Time for Damon and Jeter to turn it up a notch.

  3. Sup Twasp how goes it?

  4. Good Matt chillin watching playoffs

    • nice. i hope this rain delay doesn’t last long. Good to see Yanks make Verlander throw 25 pitches in the first inning hopefully they get him to keep that pitch count go up quickly. But if this rain delay is long maybe both pitchers don’t come back out.

  5. Yeah they had some good abs vs V.

    • yeah this rain thing is getting old quick. it seems like all season and now the post season. Does C.C. come back to pitch game 1 tomorrow if today is cancelled? or no? this is going to be interesting.

  6. Gotta go with CC

  7. Wow, this PPD game really hurts the Yankees.
This now FORCES the Yanksto use a 4th starter since there are no off days!

    • yeah but they are using four as well. I’m not scared of Porcello at all. I can’t stand the rain. Remember the yankees were toying with idea of a retractable roof in the first plans. I’m so sick of rain outs.

    • Yeah, the only difference is Detroit was planning to use 4 even before the rain out because Verlander can’t pitch on 3-days while the Yanks were going with CC on short rest in Gm 4.

The way it could work out for the Yanks is if CC pitches Sunday because that would put him in line to pitch Game 5 on 3 days rest. If they hold him to Game 3 on Monday vs Verlander, Nova would go Gm 5, if needed.

  8. Looks like you go like this now:

    SAT: gm 1 – Nova
    SUN: gm 2 – CC
    MON: gm 3 – Garcia
    TUE: gm 4 – AJ
THU: gm 5 – CC (3 days rest)

otherwise, if you hold CC til Monday you lose him for a potential Game 5

    SAT: Nova
    SUN: Garcia
    MON: CC
    TUES: AJ
    THU: Nova

Detroit is going with Verlander Monday so they lose him for a 2nd start:
    SAT: Fister
    SUN: Scherzer
    MON: Verlander
    TUES: Porcello
    THU: Fister

  9. Makes for some interesting strategy. I think CC will definitely pitch on Sunday.

Would make the matchups like this:

    Sat: Nova vs Fister
    Sun: CC vs Scherzer
    Mon: Garcia vs Verlander
    Tue: AJ vs Porcello
    Thu: CC vs Fister

  10. Hope things went well with Ken in the hospital. We cannot afford to lose a fan of his experience and humility . Ken stitched up the first baseball and ground chalk to make the first foul lines with his best friend Abner.

Come back Ken, I will no longer reference our feud over Jeter. This is a TWASP olive branch .
