Jorge Posada will most likely not come back in 2012
By Delia E.
If there is one thing that Jorge Posada knows, it’s that he’s most likely not coming back with the Yankees for the 2012 season. According to reports, Jorge Posada has been contacted by 5-6 other teams in the league, but he knows that his time with the Yankees is over. Posada says that there are no bitter feelings between himself and the Yankees but he has yet to make a decision on whether he is going to play for another team or if he is going to hang it up and ride off into the sunset. It would be difficult to see Posada in another uniform but Posada had said that he will always “be a Yankee.” Posada was in the last year of his contract in 2011 becoming the Yankees DH before he became more of a bench player. Posada hit .429 in the postseason, in what looks like his final in pinstripes.

I would love to see him get another year as a clutch pinch-hitter/occasional DH but I guess that’s just wishful thinking. It’ll be sad to finally see him go.
