The bit that caught my eye is J D Drew. If the Yankees could trade Swisher a platoon of Drew and Jones could be very solid both offensively and defensively. I wonder what his cost would be?
That is an interesting take. Jones would def have to platoon i’m not sure how much he could play without wearing down.
What i took from this article is that it’s not sure thing that the Rangers and Darvish work out a deal. I have a feeling Fielder is waiting for that to work out cause if they don’t sign Darvish Texas might than sign Fielder.
If Darvish doesn’t sign he than becomes a free agent next year. Would be a much cheaper option with no posting fee.
I don’t know what the real truth is on Darvish meaning that I’ve heard 2 different things when it comes to his potential free agency. Whether he would be just a Japanese free agent or a total free agent as this has never been fully clarified. Do you know for sure that he’ll be an international free agent after next season?
You know what with the new CBA the rules will be different next year so not sure how a free agent like that will work.
I thought i read a total free agent. but now thinking of the new CBA not sure if that changes anything.
Matt…I don’t believe the new CBA would change his status if he where be an international free agent next year.
Ok thanks good to know.
