Open Thread

Good evening all.  If you like to watch a non-football game the Probowl is on tonight.   This is your open thread to talk about whatever you wish.   Below like always I will leave a couple notes and links to get you started.

* A’s assistant general manager David Forst said the club is still open to signing Manny Ramirez.

* Jon Paul Morosi of FOXSports.com reports that the Cardinals don’t have a deal in place for Roy Oswalt yet but “are trying to clear money to make it work.”

* Pitching coach Curt Young thinks it’s unlikely that Dallas Braden (shoulder) will be ready by Opening Day.

  1. Why do they still play the Pro Bowl? None of the lineman are going anywhere close to full-speed. Most guys are going through the motions which can be dangerous when some of the guys are going all out.

They should just do Skills competitions, 7-on-7′s and Pass Rush competitions where O-line can battle Pass Rushers with a Dummy QB or someone not in the NFL that can stand in the pocket and get crushed!

  2. agreed. I don’t even watch it. Gave up on it like 4 years ago. It’s the worst out of all the all star games.

  3. Matt…
My buddy says he has heard nothing more about any of the Cubans. I am going to be down in St. Louie this coming week and he will also, I’ll ring his neck if nothing is forth coming at that time.
