Morning Bits: Stadium Parking, Soccer at the Stadium?, Bill Hall, Kuroda

Good morning.  Some news yesterday with the Bill Hall addition.  Maybe some more today?  We shall see.

Enjoy the links….

* Parking at Yankee stadium could soon cost $55.   Ugh this is getting ridiculous.

* A soccer match between Real Madrid and Inter Milan could happen this summer at Yankee Stadium.  Something different that would be cool.

* The Yankees agreed to deal with Hall.

* The Daily News reports that Martin really likes the addition of Kuroda to the Yankees rotation.

* Joel Sherman of the New York Post claims the Yankees are still in the hunt for a DH.

  1. I like the idea of a soccer match at the stadium. Any way the organization can bring people to the stadium when the Yankees aren’t using it is a good idea to me.

The only bad thing is if this is done during a short road trip and the team comes back to a messed up field.

  2. Guys read this, this morning on MLBTR here is the link. Very interesting piece:

    http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2012/02/possible-fits-for-aj-burnett.html

    • all good options you would have to figure Pirates would be a good option as they tried to get many starters this year and many went to other teams with less money.

  3. Supposedly there is on ESPN insider a listing by Keith Law of the MLB teams farm systems. Wondering if anyone knows where the Yankees are listed?

The teaser only names the top 5 with the Padres being #1. Just curious if anyone has access.

    • No need for anyone to reply. I found out at least about the 2 rankings I was most interested in:

I don’t want to give out the exact ranking because that wouldn’t be fair to ESPN after all they want to be paid for their service. But the Yankees just made it in Law’s ranking coming in between 9 and 11. I won’t give out the number the Red Sox came in at either other then to say to between 17 and 19. The operative word there is BETWEEN for both the Yankees and Red Sox rankings.
