Yankees Sign LHP Rapada To Minor League Deal

The New York Yankees may start heading to Spring Training tomorrow, but that doesn’t mean the signings are going to stop. Yankees have signed LHP Clay Rapada to a minor league contract which includes an invitation to Spring Training reported by Joel Sherman of the New York Post. Rapada was with the Baltimore Orioles last season before being DFA’d on February 6. Rapada in his career has a 5-0 record & a 5.13 ERA. Here is the tweet, confirming the deal:

The deal comes shortly after Yankees released Hideki Okajima after he reportedly failed his physical.
