Over under 90 wins this year? I say under but what do you guys and gals think?

Imo the Yankees are a bad team getting worse and no band-aids will fix this team into a championship contender. The Yankees need to be sellers this year and build for next year.

    • George, what team do are you a fan of, sounds like a Sox fan talking. The team has only played 23 games.

      • george jetson

When someone says they are a Yankees fan why do you have to ask? Can’t you read? This team is poorly constructed an is not very good. If they can not hit home runs they stink!

  2. Sellers? just stop it.

  3. I’m not going into panic mode just yet regarding our chances, but I’m awfully close. The make or break will be how the rotation shapes up. If Pettitte returns true to form and Phelps performs well, we have a shot to fight our way to the top of the East.

    • It is more about the hitting than the pitching. CC is about to go on his normal may/june tear. Kuroda pitching well. Nova/Pettitte/Hughes not a bad back end to go with a stellar bullpen. The hitting has been a complete embarrassment the past week. Need to get the OF healthy and have the middle of the order to realize the season has started. .

    • Eric, what was the Yanks record the last 3 years after 23 games? I bet they were not better than 13-11.

  4. u are ready to give up on May 3rd? go root for another team

    • I’m with you, this is ridiculous. Fretting about the offense is silly. Worrying about the pitching is fine, as Pettitte may not be that good after so much time away, Nova has shown some kinks in the armor, and Hughes has been awful. But to write them off at this point is plain wrong.

What is inspiring about this team? It is old and beyond Jeter and Granderson who else is performing? Alex looks like a shell. Tex looks like a shell. Hughes looks looks horrid. Why do you have faith? Cashman has done a crappy job. Girardi stinks as an in game manager. The out of town Ownership stinks.

Honestly there is very little to like about this team right now. WE NEED CHANGE!

I am a Yankees fan but this team is built to crumble like it’s 1965 all over again.

  6. it is essentially the same team that won 97 games last year. Yup May 3rd 3.5 games out but time to give up and become sellers. LMAO. Call in Francessa or Kay’s radio show and suggest that and see what happens. I would love to see it.

  7. My wife and I were watching the game last night when Chavez was hitting. We both thought Chavez snaped his head back after the second strike call. This was really wierd, but I think that was where he got his concusion. He looked really agrivated at the call. I don’t think he hurt himself diving for the ball.

  8. Watching MLB Network, Mo just hurt his knee shagging fly balls in the outfield before the game. Looks like it could be a torn ACL.

  9. Injuries are starting to concern me with the Yanks, Swisher, Gardner, Pineda, Joba, Chavez, and Mo. Things are snowballing right now, Cano, and Tex need to start hitting.
