Fish good to see Matt Tracy have a good start right. I know you think highly of him.
What are the chances of us seeing Betances or other players who are doing well getting a call up while we seemed to be getting decimated by injuries? I think giving a chance to some of the guys who are 85% or more ready for the show would grant some exposure and see how they react.
ZERO! Girardi will not play a youngster unless forced too by Cashman.
The reason Girardi doesn’t play youngsters is that the Yanks don’t have any studs like Middlebrooks in the minors. It’s a product of drafting low in the draft. The superstars usually come from the first ten picks in the first round, the Yanks never draft there. The Yanks get their star players from free agency and trades because that is the only way they can acquire them. Tex, A-Rod, Swisher, CC, and Grandy were obtained in that way.
That may be true of Girardi and the kids, but I disagree about our talent. We have a lot of good prospects that can turn into contributing players given the opportunity. Granted, their chances might not come for a few years, but our scouting program does well.
Our “Best” prospects are in Charleston which is “A” ball.
