  1. “An A-blog for A-Rod” is a joke! Power hitters don’t just loose their power, unless they are changing their swing or can’t hit the ball anymore.
Those of us that have seen the old tunnel knock down HR after HR can see the work going on in the new stadium also. This tunnel is a bit smaller but, more powerful, the wind comes in at (say 20mph) hits the smaller opening and comes out as a gail around 45+mph. If one gets the ball lower or higher than the opening you are ok!
Remember, they said they wanted to copy most of the dementions of the old stadium before all the changers were made. The did, ergo, the tunnel of death.
Some of these writers need to get over the idea that it is Tex or Jeter or A-Rod or Martins fault we are loosing, maybe they should watch the games themselves.
It is a team sport no matter how you look at it, the team is not doing there job.! :)

    • My point exactly Ken. This has been a total team failure. People can blame the individual player they don’t like but it isnt about 1 guy. It is everybody

    • old yankee, you made some good points, I would add to that the lower temps and humidity lately. I once read in the USA TODAY that a ball goes 25 feet further at 80 degrees that it does at 50 degrees. A-Rod had some monster years in Texas where the weather is hot all the time. Joe Mauer was hurt by Target field compared to the Metrodome. Their are comparisons that can be done. One year I tried heating the ball and iceing the ball in practice, I put the new balls on the dash of my car to heat them up, and in baggies in the ice machine to cool them. I did notice a difference. After 30 years of coaching I saw a big difference in homeruns in May and June compared to March and April. The 2 balls A-Rod hit over the weekend would have been HRs in 80 degree weather with humidity. When I played in the Texas league and in Arizona the ball used to fly. The bottom line is the two HRs that were hit off CC by Cinncy didn’t need the extra heat.

      • Next time you go to the game you may notice the tunnel is not as big as the old one was, so it will affect less balls hit out there. But you are right, Texas is the perfect place for Hamilton and A-Rod.

  2. I don’t know…I likeJohn Sterling and Suzyn Waldman. I listen to them every evening because they always say something that makes me laugh. Although John Sterling does irk me with his “It is high, it is far, it is…caught at the wall.” calls.

  3. Yes u have to laugh at all their embarrassing calls lol. Although it really has come to a point where its not funny anymore and a change needs to be made
