The C.C. news sucks. Hopefully he has no mishap in his rehab.
They should bring up Phelps or Mitchell.
The Yankees are projecting to hit 257 hrs this year after last nights game. The 2009 Yankees have the franchise record with 244. they had 7 players with 20 + …no team has ever had more than 7 players with 20 + hrs in a season.
Cano …jeez….a rocket HR to LF…… This guy is sick!!!
Wow!!! Pettitte with a broken ankle REALLY hurts! They say a minimum of 6 weeks. I’d say he’s going to be out for the majority of the regular season and just hope he can get back to be 100% for Septemeber and October.
Guess you have to look to Phelps, Williams or Warren for the time being.
Or we can try a trade…maybe the Phillies would want a bat for Cliff Lee. It’d be a win win. Phillies could get another bat and Cliff Lee would get a win.
Who is the bat that Philly wants on the Yanks?
Phillies have offered Lance Nix, Placido Polanco, and Clff Lee for Alex Rodriguez and $15mm. Done!
Who is Williams? I can see Phelps and Warren being the next men up.
Thinking Fish means Mitchell.
Matt, Warren, Phelps, and Mitchell are all well seasoned at AAA, one of them should be able to do a good job.
i agree I have no problem with Mitchell or Phelps getting the green light.
We need him bad for the playoffs … I don’t trust Kuroda or Nova as a # 2 in the post season.
I’d take Lee in a minute.
Arod and $15m for Cliff Lee . Done!
Fish – who should I root for Damon or the Yankees?
Johnny – the Hall just called they said don’t bother sticking around any longer.
I wish Josh Hamilton would retire so Robby could win an MVP !
TWASP Hamilton id sue for his yearly injury soon and Robbie will make his move then lol
It’s a shame Phelps isn’t ready since the kid has deserved a real chance since Spring Training. But since being moved to Tampa to build his pitch count and innings he’s only had 2 outings of 3 ip and 2.1 ip. Sounds like he needs at least 2-3 more starts before they’d bring him up as a starter which really sucks for him. Overall a poor job by the Yanks IMO. The kid was rotting away on a bench in the NY pen throwing a handful of innings each month when he could have been starting in AAA ready to take the ball in a situation like this.
But who knows, maybe Garcia will run with this 2nd chance and keep the ball down the way he did last yr. I didn’t see the game but see he pitched well in relief. How’d he look today……anyone…..anyone???
fishjam, he did ok, 2+ innings 2 SO, the SOs were in a tight situation. I can’t remember more, I kept getting interrupted by people….sorry! Fastball about 89-90 (very good), made his stuff much better…as you well know!
Yeah MattB – Josh is due for an injury or a trip back to rehab. Go Cano……MVP!!!
Ken – TWASP and you have been watching baseball a long time…….isn’t it a joy to watch a player that has the natural god-given talent that Cano has? He is to second basemen what Mickey and the Say Hey kid were to Centerfield.
