Morning Bits: 42 games, Martin, Autographs
Good morning everyone and Happy Sunday. Yesterday’s second game vs. the Red Sox was very embarrassing and still has a lot of fans angry. Hopefully Yankees can take the series tonight. Here are the morning links.
– On May 21, the Yankees were 21-21 and had a lot of questions going on about their rotation, their hitting etc. 42 games later and the Yankees are at the top of the AL East and the questions just seemed to vanish.
– One of the very few things that went good for the Yankees in the nightcap of the game–Russell Martin got a hit which ends his 0 for 30 skid. Nick Swisher broke his 0 for 17 skid in the day game after hitting a HR.
– Joe Girardi, Alex Rodriguez, Derek Jeter, David Robertson, CC Sabathia, Mark Teixeira (and some of the New York Mets) recall the first time they ever had to sign an autograph.
