Joba hits 98 in a rehab performance, he could be back in 2 weeks. He could be the man to take over the 6th or 7th inning.
would be a welcome addition to the pen. Let’s wait to see how he does though before he comes back. Lot of injuries he is coming back from.
He seems to be on a mission, could be the best Joba we have seen!
hope your right doug but i feel that’s a lot to ask a guy coming back from those injuries.
C.C. looked good in the first inning. Hope to see the Yankees give him an early lead.
Ken- CashMan’s mistress just called she wants to know if you’d like to go out for an egg cream?
Fish/ Matt – Amazingly , besides Joe DiMaggio there is only one player to get 59 hits in 61 games…… Who is it?
no clue on that one T-man
Ken – I know you know it!
first Cano extends his hit streak to 20. Now a 3 run blast from Jones. Things are looking good.
Home runs 2012 projections
Grandy 45
Robby 37
Tex. 33
Swisher 25
Arod. 28
Ibanez 20
Jones 20
If both Ibanez and jones can get to 20 – the Yankees will tie the MLB season record for most 20 HR hits. (7)
And a long shot, if Martin or Chavez can get to 20 – they will break the record with 8 20 HR hitters in a season.
not giving Jeter a chance? i kid i kid. figured that would get Ken to smile.
It was a shame he didn’t get to 20, although he has done it before…see, what did I say; There is no clutch in Captain Clutch!
Just kidding, wanted to see you two smile a bit. Let’s face it, HRs are not in his game!
Matt – it’s funny you should say that …. In 2009 the Yankees tied the record with 7 players with 20+ home runs……and would have broke the record if Jeter hit 20…….he hit 18.
Did anyone see the play yesterday where the ball hit off texs glove and cano picked it up and in one split second motion flipped it to Robertson for the out?
here is the clip of that in the highlights from mlb.com

Yep…that’s the cano play I was taking about …incredible…..good catch Matt S.
Have you two ever seen a 2nd baseman with a arm like Cano has? I have been going over in my long…ok, short memory, trying to find someone like that…I can’t!
Can you guys come up with someone?
Just got through Kevin Kernan’s book Girardi: Passion in Pinstripes. I would highly suggest it great stuff on Joe in there.
TWASP cannot remember a 2ber with an arm like Cano’s nor a better fielding second base man….he makes plays that are pure genius.
