Good morning all. The Yankees now have a 10 game lead in the A.L. least. A double digits lead is huge and as they start a west coast trip let’s see if they can keep this streak going. Tonight’s game is a 10:05PM start in Oakland. On the mound is Garcia vs Griffin.
Enjoy the day now onto the links…
– Mike Mazzeo of ESPN NY asks who you think should be the 5th starter.
– Mazzeo also has another article about how Girardi mentions that A-Rod doesn’t look uncomfortable.
– Cano now has hit streak to 21 games Steven Miller & Cash Kruth of mlb.com have the story.
– Peter Botte of The Daily News writes that A-Rod had no field day at third base yesterday and drew boos after committing a two base error.

I don’t like Phelps up as the long relief guy. Let him start in AAA or Start in the Bronx. I don’t like him being the long man in the pen.
I agree Matt, I think he should build up his innings this year and be a Sept. call up to get some more experience.
At this point it’s time the rest of the AL East thinks about whose going to get the Wild Card spot since the Yanks are running away with the division.
Girardi is having fun plugging in the different players on the team, they all seem to be contributing right now!
This is the best Yankees bench since 1998
Bench is playing great. Only changes I’d like to see is more action for Wise in LF. Keep Ibanez as the DH against RHP to keep him fresh. Let’s see how Wise does with some more playing time to see if we have to make a move before the deadline for an OF.
