Yankees are only a half game up for the best record in the AL.
Terrible series for the Yanks and baltimore has won 5 in a row almost cutting the lead in half from 10 games to 6 in 1 series. Eppley is pitching poorly and I felt Girardi never should have taken Phelps out who was in command. Eppley gave up 2 walk-off hits in the series and in the 2 games got 1 out while allowing 5 base hits…..and that 1 out came on a sac bunt. he hasn’t been sharp in a while and they need to knock him down a peg on the pecking order. Eppley & Qualls need to be replaced by Joba & Phelps.
Today’s game had a bad feel to it after they got up 4-0 and seemed to sleep-walk through the rest of the game. Hopefully they can go in and handle Seattle but they are playing much better lately winning 5 of their last 7.
