pre game show on now is going to do a feature on Tyler Austin, Mason Williams and Gary Sanchez.
Hensley had his second go at it today. He went 2 innings. Giving up 1H, 1R, 0ER, 2BB, 5K, 0HR
I tweeted him after the game.
Hernandez is looking spot on today.
He’s been good but it helps that the Yanks are tryig to pull EVERYTHING. A lot of fastballs and changeups running away from lefties. Cano went the other way in the 1st and got a Double and Ichiro ripped a line drive to 3rd…..but everyone else won’t adjust.
Looking at the schedule the Yanks next off day is August 23rd.
Also something to note. From August 27th to Sept 20th They are up against only AL East teams.
Toronto
Baltimore
Tampa

Boston

Robertson was very impressive in the 8th. It looks like he is finally back to where he was at the beginning of the season before the injury. He was popping 94-95 today and attacking hitters…..Curveball was good too.
Would be nice to see a comeback bottom of the 9th win. They have the right guys coming up to get it done.
Yes we do….but felix is painting the low, outside corner and the Ump is giving him EVERYTHING!
The balls and strikes umpiring has been just awful the last 2 games ….. the strike zone has been way too wide.
Another great performance from Kuroda with no run support. His record should be better than 10-8 with that 3.19 ERA.
That is why pitchers should not be evaluated by won – loss records. And xFIP is the best predictor of future performance.
