McGehee with the bomb nice to see.
McGehee showed his upside and downsides today. Hit an absolute bomb then made 2 consecutive misplays at 3B in the 8th. Late in covering 3B on a steal where he would have been out easily, followed by an error on a grounball that was called a hit by the hometown scorer.
Nova followed up his 2 worst starts of the season where his ERA jumped .73 points with one of his best. His Curveball was excellent all game and he really didn’t hang any. His Slider is still a danger pitch with little margin for error. he needs to work on that pitch and limit it’s usage.
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Chris Stewart was catching……he’s a very good receiver and game-caller. He has to catch more the rest of the season.
Very concerned to hear CC has some elbow discomfort. He hasn’t had issues in his career so if he says its bothering him it has to raise a flag. Hope missing a start is all it will take to get him strong.
