What’s the point of having Cervelli on the bench if you’re not going to use him?! Girardi! Use Cervelli already!!

You can not do that in a pennant race,….. cerveli can be a pinch hitter, maybe, a pinch runner, solmething like that,.. he can not catch the pitchers,.. he has caught the AAA pitchers,….. you can not just inbsert him at catcher in the nmiddle of a pennant race,…..
the pitchcers are too set with martin and stewart.
that is highly important
in case of emergency, you can use cerveli at catcher,.. other than that,.. he is lucky to be making more tgis month on the yankees bench than 90% of all americans will make this year
so dont feel sorry for him,…
he wont make the post season roster unless martin break,s his leg or something,.. and even then,… the yankees woluld have to envoke a speacial mlb rule to get him on the post season roster,….
I looked this up just to know,….. in 181 the Dodgers catcher Steve Yeager, only played in 42 games, 40 games at catcher, with 23 starts, with 92 plate appearances in the 1981 season,… he only had 18 hits, with a 209 average,
in the 1981 ws, he played in all 6 games, 15 plate appearaces, had 4 hits,…
but came up big with 2 world series home runs
as the dodgers beat the yankees in the 81 series
1981 was the streike season, only 110 regular season games played,… and he went on the dl for 18 games, and was rested several times here and there
but when the ws came around, he was the starting catcher, no?
cerveli didnt catch one inning of one big league game this season,…
you can not just insert cerveli at catcher

bu the way, they averaged 8.96 hits a game that season, in the strike shortened season,….
the yankees in 1981 had averaged only 8.31 hits per game

Yankees need this series 3-1 and nothing less. A sweep would be nice but I’m shooting to see a 3-1 edge for the bombers.
