Game 154 Lineup: Yankees @ Twins

Lineup vs. Twins:

Derek Jeter SS
Ichiro Suzuki RF
Alex Rodriguez 3B
Robinson Cano DH
Nick Swisher 1B
Curits Granderson CF
Russell Martin C
Raul Ibanez LF
Jayson Nix 2B

Phil Hughes RHP

Notes:

– The Yankees have activated both RP David Aardsma and OF Brett Gardner from the 60 day disabled list. Steve Pearce and Justin Thomas are not listed on the 40 man roster so it’s presumed that those two are the roster moves for Aardsma and Gardner.

  1. Jeez – Jeter is just a machine

  2. They should give Iichy a shirt that fits

  3. JETER NOW HAS A 19 GAME HJITTING STREAK
CAN GARDNER DO THAYT AT AGE 29?

  4. Arod not looking good lately.

  5. Maybe we should bat our best hitter third…..isn’t that the norm? Cano instead Arod.

  6. Swisherlicious looking for some more twitter followers

  7. If Chavez hits one more HR and jones hits 2…the Yankees will have 10 players with 15 hrs. Has this ever been done before?

  8. Arod looking spry at 3b.

  9. Delia – whose your starting 3 pitchers in the playoffs.?

  10. Ibanez has been impressive this year, for a guy some thought was too old and washed up, he’s been a real gamer. Tough, clutch, competitor.

  11. If the Yankees keep homering at this pace they will finish with 242 hrs. That is 2 short of the franchise record accomplished in 2009.

  12. Delia – Jeter went back well on that popup didn’t he?

  13. Wow! Jeter has got a shot at the batting title.

  14. Iichy and Jeter – two HOF ers – nice 1 – 2

  15. Strike em out, throw em out Arod . Now batting .222 with RISP

  16. Delia – Jeter is like a fine wine, he gets better with age.

  17. It’s almost as if pitching Boone Logan every other day for 5 months has tired him out. Tiem for Rapada to be the top lefty out of the pen.

  18. Exactly Matt B. ….Logan is tired. Rapada should be first out…rest of year.

  19. Why is Nix up and not Nunez

  20. JETER GOLKT A HIT, AND NOW HAS A 19 GAME STREAK,… they lost , but,.. baltimore lost too,…..,…8 games left,…… jeter is 4 hits away from 3300 hits

  21. Good morning….cowgirls in the sand. Sorry, I missed the show tonight. Watched all your words, from work. “Cow girls in the sand”…is from another site. A long time ago (94 days)…… See if you can figure out it’s origin. I’ve been told, that the electric media man…ballPark…is now in the metropolitan bloggers mix? I doubt it. It has been too long, and I think he has turned the page………Take care.

  22. figure out what?, i’m sure the song is on the radio still,…the song appeared on crosby stills nash and youngs live album 4 WAY STREET, RECORDED IN SUMMER OF 1970.

neil i belive also played it solo before that at the ole grey whistle test in england

4 way street is one of the top 5 live albums of all time,.. maybe theeee best live lp of all time

    highly recomend it

  23. “Cowgirl in the Sand” is a song written by Neil Young and first released on his 1969 album Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere. Young has also included the live versions of the song on several albums and on the Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young album Four Way Street.[1] It has also been covered by The Byrds on their self-titled album.[2][3] Like two other songs from Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere, “Cinnamon Girl” and “Down by the River”, Young wrote “Cowgirl in the Sand” while he was suffering from the flu with a high fever at his home at Topanga.[

  24. Good afternoon…metropolitan bloggers. Hope this finds you all well. Yes, a 1pm game today. I’ll miss that one also. Lets hope the Yanks leave… on a strong effort. “Cowgirl in the Sand”…Yes!..we have a winner!…Good work by Jim2244. The gold star is on it’s way. Take care.
