  1. I wonder if Joe Girardi reads our blog…because just yesterday morning I said the Yankees shouldn’t play Nova and all of a sudden no Nova. Either he reads it or it’s a freaky coincidence.

    • Girardi is a coward. He is fickle dude who has no clue. Does it really matter who starts tomorrow? NO! Nova could have started an if he pitched well great but if not pull him for Phelps. No need for all of this drama but this is the Idiot’s way.

      • Exactly, this drama creation by HeeHaw is just counterproductive.
Pull Nunez in the middle of AA inning?…cancel Novas start?…for every star our farm team produces they manage to mess them up,……ibk, Nunez,Joba, nova….

  2. nah, it is a coincidence most likely,.. but you wouldnt be running this blog if you didnt have an intuitive sense of what is going on

  3. this could be next seasons lineup,.. and instead of arod dh’ing sometimes you could have nunez at dh,…and chavez on the bench,…

the yankees have a plethra of opportunities to mix and match DH next season,….

at nunez at short and jeter at dh,.. or both jeter and aroid in the field and nunedz or chavezat dh,..

    and mix in gardener/ichiro,..

spell teix at first and dh him sometimes, play swisherlicious at first base

he can only get better at first base the more chances he gets, .. he is not terrible at it,….

the yankees got so many options right now, and for next season,.. it is mind boggling

what we really need it a world series champiuonship this season,..
then the money will be there in case they are serious about a budget,… to keep the team intact for the most part, and go for back to back championships

maybe francesawasright,.. it is better than having a big lead,.. this is more exciting from a fan standpoint

afterall,… other teams have decent young players that are no chumps

    this is a TITLE FIGHT

  4. best lineup in a long time.

  5. Matt, I agree, this the first game in a while that the Yanks have been at near full strength!

  6. Is it possible that Cabrera wins the triple crown and doesn’t win the MVP?

  7. That would be a travesty Doug.

  8. This is the worst Red Sox team I’ve ever seen. No Pedroia, ellsbury and Ortiz. If we can’t beat them with CC we don’t deserve to make the playoffs.

  9. Open up the Hall right now for Cano…..

    The Mohegan Sun…….sick

  10. Really awesome to see this full lineup tonight. Say what you want about Grandy but I will take a guy who has 40 HR’s batting 7th any day.

  11. What an inning. I felt that Teixeira would return with a bang. After he struck out looking though in his first at-bat….I wasn’t so sure. Hahaha, but wow what a blast by him. If he can somehow harness that 2009 version of himself and break it out here in the last few games and carry it into the playoffs, the Yankees just added a seriously dangerous slugger in their lineup, who they’ve been without for much of their struggles down the stretch.

  12. I asked this Trivia question on Twitter and I figured you guys would want to join in the fun. Here’s the question.

How many pitches did the Red Sox throw in the 2nd inning?

    A.) 40
    B.) 65
    C.) 57
    D.) 50

  13. Good evening…..to the great Cow Girl bloggers. So glad to be with you while the game is on!………Firstly…Jim222/444, thanks for putting up the video. I’m sure that cleared a lot of things up. This is my day I guess…..9-1 Yankees, as I walked in the door. This has to be Joe Girardi’s finest hour. To motivate this talented, yet complex, squad….is not an easy thing. Go…Joe G…..When ever they do a remake of the Russell Crowe movie…”Master, and Commander” ..Joe, has to play the lead.

  14. Least, I ever forget………..the sweetheart of, YFU……….Delia. Thank you for posting the line-up card.

  15. Brian D…good evening. We have not yet spoken, but I have followed your work, and have read your words. You are to be commended. Nice job. If we meet down the road…I will look forward to speaking with you. Take care.

  16. Twasp..the true urban blogger. You see, I was right on point….with my “the trickle down effect” post. The Yankees follow Joe Girardi’ lead from the top…and the engine pushes out wins. Simple? What was so hard to see?………….Later, bother man.

  17. YFU bloggers…No, I am not full of myself, as some say…………but, when I finish my words at night, I have always said good night. No matter where I am. A courtesy, and respect towards you. It is sad, that I even have to explain myself. Therefore, if I may…cowgirls……….good night.

  18. Brett Gardner got an AB!!!! And I’m proud and teary eyed. :)

  19. hi,.. welcome the the machine,…. the ny yankees,… are he machinde, my son,.. the machine,…… it’s all right,..
