  1. This is incredible, 2 days left in the season and 4 teams can finish with the 1 seed or as low as the 5!
This is why I rant and rave early in the season when Girardi blows a game and people say “it’s early and it won’t matter in the end.” I can assure you that all four managers and the fans of these four teams can vividly recall the games they gave away earlier in the season and are thinking, DAMN!

The Yankees are the only one of the four teams who control their destiny for the overall 1 seed. Two wins and the Yankees are the overall 1 seed in the AL. I’m confident against Cook tomorrow night but tonight is the game that worries me. Lester has had great success in the past against the Yankees and even though he’s having a bad year that doesn’t mean he can’t throw a good game. Phelps is in a big pressure spot here. At least we have a bullpen full of guys who are ready to go.

  2. The worst loss we had this year by the way was game 1 of the season!! I can still see that idiot forcing CC to issue an intentional pass to load the bases with two outs in the first inning. The intentional pass was to Sean Rodriguez, and it was only his 4th intentional pass of his career(with the other three to set up potential double plays) and then of course Pena hit the grand slam. Then what did the crewcut do? He had the great Mariano Rivera issue two intentional walks to leave Rodriguez and Pena coming to the plate instead of just issuing one free pass.
    We lost that game 7-6.
I didn’t have to look any of that up, I can remember it like it was yesterday. In the midst of my insane rants about the crewcut on Twitter after the game everyone said it wouldn’t mean anything. Well, it means something now. It means a pressure packed game tonight instead of a two game lead with a magic number of 1 for the division and 1 seed.
Pretty sad that Hal S. said all coaches are coming back no matter what happens the rest of the year. Hal S must be adopted, or a product of the milkman or postman. George would tell this imbecile that he had better win the World Series or pack his bags, as it should be.

Is that the best you can do? I know you have more ranting in you, let it all come out! LOL
I know you have been on Joe G’s case all year and I will say Joe can only put a player in a position to use the talent he has. If the player comes through…Joe looks good, if he doesn’t it is Joe’s fault!

That is part of the stuff you will get from some of the fans around the blogs.

Honestly, thing is, they are right but, Joe doesn’t seem to put the guys in a position to do the damage we need at the time.
Sometimes one has to know the skill of his players in order to know which player to use in a bunting situation or any thing else one has to do.

I always try giving a manager the chance to do his job and learn the team. I thought, when Joe G. was brought in, anyone is better than Joe T. I don’t think Joe G. has done the best moves nor the worst but, there are a few Managers out there, in fact we have one at our own AAA team, I would like to see given a chance to manage the team.
Next year, I think we may end up going north with some younger guys, I believe we will start the rebuilding process. Maybe, a new look would help, also we have the AAA manager…who knows our players better than the manager that has worked with them for a year or two.
Keep on keeping on! Michael P.

I read that this AM! He still has a chance to be in the show late 2014. He has great talent but has to show he can harness it. When he is on, he shows what he can do and be. Lately there has been more off than on for him.

  5. Andru jone should start for the yankees almost every game, he is a superstar and a future hall of famer
