good, jeters having surgery on saturday,……… let us hope vit comes out ok,.. he stays off the ankle, .. does the proper rehab, no matter how hard or time comsuming it is,.. that he comes back healthy in march,…
and that he gets another 6 seasons
he only needs seasons of, 197, 196, 140, 140, 140, 140,…. to break pete rose’s all time hitrs record
he doesnt even need another 200 hgit season to get rose
Snooze………..
Swisher batting second is laughable. Girardi just continues to prove he’s a moron.
The Cashman/Girardi affair needs to END!
As I have been saying since I arrived here. The reality is that Cashman is a disaster and that his boy Joe is paranoid weasel, who couldn’t carry Posada’s jock or ARod’s jock yet delighted and delights in the humiliation of both.
This is a new low, even worse than the “good old days” of George and Billy.
Girardi is the worst.
Why Swisher is batting 2nd is beyond me. I would have Ichiro lead off and then Gardner bat second. Two table setters for Teixeira and…um…well…Teixeira. Just Teixeira.
Joe didn’t like the way Brett swung the bat yesterday.
Joe must have been blind. Everyone didn’t hit Verlander except for Ichiro and Nunez in the 9th inning. Besides, Gardner had some of the best at-bats all game. Sure he got out, but he did what the other Yankee hitters can’t do–take pitches. He didn’t whiff at 3 pitches and then sat down like Granderson. Gardner is a patient hitter–the most patient on the whole team.
The starting of Gardner showed the Yanks are in panic mode, you don’t start a guy at the top of the order who hasn’t had an at bat since April with no rehab starts. This was obsurd!
The moron has no opinion he does what Cashman tells him too or allows him to do!
well,.. let us watch and see, ok?
we can win olr we can lose, it is 50/50
but if you want to point to abig time player that wassdissed in the post season,.. on the level of arod,.. you’d have to go back to 1973 willie mays

why isnt arod playing?
i’m feeling the yankee bats come alive today. I still don’t believe they will win the series. But law of average figures they get it together for this game.
Scherzer is a bit more hittable in day games so that may help.
the yankees can use any help they can get. Would be nice to see them score runs early.
Defense fails again!!! Chavez can’t make a play. Swisher no range in RF.
yup not looking good so far. hopefully they get out of this inning with no runs.
Now more crap defense from Teixeira…how is this happening to the entire team?
Yup Tex makes that play in his sleep. This is just bad luck or lack of concentration.
The Swisher brings his A game today! Crap defense and TWO K’s!
make that two crap plays by Tex. what the F!
They are meant to lose this game. unreal
The way the playoffs have gone for the Yanks has been random, no one thought they would hit this bad. This is bizzare!
2 runs from crap defense….this team is horrible defensively.
Here we go again the anti Yankee announcers!
Everyone is talking about the Yankees putrid offense but it’s their crap defense that is killing them! This team is wound up way to tight to succeed. The Girardi/Cashman regime is an epic failure.
We need base runners and Teixeira can’t push a ball toward third and K’s instead!
The fat lady is singing loud and strong!
Good thing this Michigan boy has an acquired taste for crow
Now that the season’s over:
1) Resign Hiroki.
2) Let Swisher go.
3) Trade Granderson to replenish upper farm system (bring some more youth in).
4) Resign Ichiro.
5) Somehow find upgrade over Martin.
6) Don’t trade A-Rod unless there is a concrete plan for someone to take his place.
All points right on point!
Do you really think Granderson has decent trade value at 15 million? I don’t and would like to see what Cano could bring back instead. Could you trade Cano to the Nats for Espinosa along with Rendon plus another prospect?
Martin can go unless he’s willing to take a 2 year 13 million deal without any trade protection.
Arod wants out now so let him go and see if a platoon of Joseph an Adams can do.
Maybe the plan should be create a starting staff of all veteran pitchers 1-4 plus one young guy. So try to bring back Kuroda an Andy along with trying to get a guy like Sanchez or Haren if he’s let go.
“Do you really think Granderson has decent trade value at 15 million?”
Not great, but I think a Granderson trade is more realistic than a Cano trade.
Why keep Cano and be held ransom by Boris? Granderson would go to what team? Do you have a trade in mind?
Michael D….Mike D…………Nice season. We will get them next time. Makes for a fun off season. Again, always enjoyed your words. A gentleman. Take care.
YFU bloggers…nice season. This happens, we will get them next time….Cow Boy-up, and all that.
Don’t get down, a fun off season awaits you. As for patrick, excuse me as I move toward the coffin, to place my roses. Take care.
Mike D, I think Grandy will has a team obtian of 13 million, but you could be right they might have a hard time trading him at that price. If they can’t trade him he will be gone in 2 years. I don’t see them trading Cano, although he would get the Yanks some great young players, and with Joseph and Adams in the minors 2nd might be the Yanks strongest position. It should be an interesting off season.
Doug…Granderson has a 15 million option next year.
i heard the yankees are gonna try to trade arod to maimi for reyes, and move jeter to 3rd , cause of the ankle injury.
still probably get rid of swisher and trade soriano
