If the Yankees trade Granderson, it would be the best move Cashman can make. Shaving 15 million off the team and getting rid of a home-run or bust player would be great. The offense is too reliant on the home run ball, no matter what people say. It’s top heavy, unbalanced, and getting rid of Grandy would allow them to look towards better hitting, better OBP players who are actually a threat on other pitches besides a hanging curve or a fastball right down the pipe.
I love what Curtis has done, and he’s a great humanitarian, but baseball’s a business.
