Updates with the Rain out

Game 1 of the ALDS between the Tigers and Yankees was suspended due to rain.

The game will pick up in the bottom of the second inning Saturday at 8:37 p.m. ET. Game 2 will now be played on Sunday at 3:07 p.m. ET., which was previously scheduled to be an off-day. As a result, there will be no off-day before the teams resume the series Monday in Detroit. No word on when CC Sabathia or Justin Verlander will pitch next, but it’s safe to say neither will pitch twice during the series.

Ivan Nova will pitch when play resumes Saturday in Game 1 of the ALDS against the Tigers.

Well today is the day most Yankee fans couldn’t wait for.  Tonight the Yankees enter the postseason.  Verlander vs C.C.    Should be one hell of a game.  I hope everyone enjoys the weekend and enjoys the game tonight.

Morning Bits: Roster decisions, Garcia gets game 3, ALDS

So the regular season is set and that means the Yankees first opponent is set as well.  The Yankees will be facing the Tigers in the first round of the playoffs Friday night.   The other game will be Tampa Bay (what a comeback last night and what an epic downfall by Boston) at Texas.  Enjoy the day off everyone.

Last night while other teams where worrying about if they were getting in or not getting in The Yankees ground crew was doing this below.   I am not worried with the Yankees losing towards the end to Tampa as most of the regulars got much needed rest and the rotation is now set.
